Week 10 EOC: Benefits vs Features

The Charge Bar has more to offer then just cool features. Each of our products offer more than just a gimmick, but an experience. Each of our features offers a benefit that no other mobile food can or has. Here are a few examples. Our state of these art photo booth offers a wide range of features that you will not find at any event. It lets you take much more than a selfie but you will be able to include all your friends and family in a single shot. Or take a panorama shot to include all the fun behind you. Then post and share it to any social media site you choose, or print them out instantly, and all straight from the photo booth. Another great example is our fast and reliable charging station. Keeps you connected to the world, no more dead batteries, and no need to be carrying bulky chargers. Each of our tables has multiple charging cables so you can charge your devices while you enjoy a snack from our great menu. You worried about using up your data on your phone, don’t be because when you’re at the charge bar you have access to a free Wi-Fi hotspot. So go ahead and surf the web as long as you want. We just don’t offer you great food, but a way to keep you connected to your world and ours, we give you a place where the party and the fun never end.

Week 9 EOC: Three Mission Statements

"Making the cheesiest quesadilla’s and serving it with a bright cheesy smile."
                                                                                                        -Amaya, Lori

I picked this one because it reminded me of my son and what kind of place I would take him to.

"Poultry in Motion aims to serve healthy, affordable, local food on- the-go. But most importantly Poultry in Motion serves quality; quality food, service and experiences."
                                                                                                              -Stewart, Taylor

I picked this one because its what I would represent in my goals as well.

Hot-Dog-O-Rama is committed to serving a family friendly atmosphere with a twist on a classic. We will be providing a fresh, homemade style to every meal.
                                                                                                   -Steed, Carol

I love this quote because

Week 8 EOC: Creative Content

I will be designing an overhead menu as well as a take home menu. I will be taking pictures of the products we will be offering as well as the different foods we will be serving. I will also be designing the Photo Booth and the food truck itself and all it’s different areas. I will be making concept photo/drawings of the type of atmosphere we will be projecting and to who, depending on the venue we are located at. There will be 4-5 different types of events; concerts, state fairs, sporting events, local events, and private events we will be focusing on. I will also create our brand image or logo and our mission for the business. I will be building a website to promote and share our growth. I will also be networking with other related businesses to form an effective business promotion, also learn about my competitors, ask for referrals, form mutually beneficial partnerships in complementary industries and spread awareness about my business throughout a group of like-minded people. I will also advertise in many different venues i.e. signs, prints, and PR firms. I will setup a listing for my business in search engine local directories such as Google, Bing, Yahoo and MapQuest. Attempt to build business partnerships with other organizations, in effort to try and piggyback off the success of another business. I will also use social media to spread the word of our company and attempt to develop relationships with our customers. I will also visit and make contract with all my local venues that I am targeting and give them my business card and inform them what we offer.

Week 6 EOC: Me x 3

My K-Swiss shoes, I always say “The eyes might be the window to the soul, but my shoes are the window to just about everything else”. I’m a low-maintenance guy, easygoing, possibly to the point where "chill" becomes "absentminded." I wouldn't be surprised if I always arriving to things late. My K-Swiss are my laid-back shoes they tell people “hey he's super chill without a care in the world. He also probably doesn't feel pressured to succumb to societal expectations. I don’t follow trends.

My Nikon, my camera preference for Nikon isn’t a recent development, and it wasn’t a one-time decision. For almost 5 years, I’ve continually re-evaluated my needs every year, and each time verifying that Nikon makes the best tools for my photography style. While it’s true that a good cameras does not make a good photographer, a good photographer does need a good camera. I started my photography path with Nikon and that’s one of the main reasons why I always stay with Nikon.

My Nintendo, I got my first Nintendo when I was very young and I’ve had one ever since. No matter what they change or improve I most have one. It brought my family together. I grew up with one. And It helped me through the hard times. It lets me escape into a world I wish I could be part of.  It’s the one thing that doesn’t cost me anything and it helps me be more creative.

Week 5 EOC: Socail Media and Job Seeking

Today people are starting to use social media to promote and network to find jobs. Because with unemployment rates on the rise, companies are being more selective about the people they hire. It's becoming more common for hiring managers to value a candidate's presence on popular social networks, in addition to traditional qualifications such as a strong resume and interview skills. Job seekers who want a competitive edge in this market are turning to alternative online sites to catch the attention of potential employers and find new job openings before the general public does. Like Facebook has become a primarily used by companies to research their interviewees. Facebook is also a good way for you to research companies and the people who work for them. You may even be able to look up the person who is interviewing you. This will give you a good indication of the things that they have been involved with in the past. LinkedIn is another good resource for job hunting, the online networking site allows you to upload your resume and connect with people in your chosen field. Most companies will have a presence on this site; they may also advertise vacancies here too. You can also find out so much about a company from their profile, you can also find out about people who have recently been employed with the company. Twitter is another major site but not as effective as Facebook or LinkedIn. Lots of career sites will have their own Twitter streams and will have regular updates on opportunities within their company. So by using these methods within these site, you are more likely to get your name out there and in the end get a job.

Week 4 EOC:New Cellphone App

Due Date

In my life it is always fast pace and sometimes I lose track on what bills or other expenses I have to pay every paycheck. And when you’re living check to check a little assisted is always best to keep you on track. How it works is you register all your bills and expenses you have each month and their priorities, when you get each of your paycheck. You enter the amount you received and the app shows you the best and smartest plan on what to pay first. If you choose to accept the plan provided, the app will automatically put the plan into effect. It will remind you when something is due. Plus you will be able to pay your bills though the app itself. You can set it up as a one-time payment or a recurring payment each month. The app will ask for approval before submitting any payments.  Transactions and other personal and financial information are heavily encrypted for the customer's safety. The app can also be used for money saving proposes. If you have a goal amount you will like to save you can register that into the app and choose how much you’re willing to save each month or the app will recommend an amount depending on your paycheck and bills due. It helps keep you on track with goal you set and events you are saving for.

Week 3 EOC:Making Money for Good

Project 7 a Southlake, Texas-based company donates approximately 50 percent of its profits to support seven areas of human need: ending hunger, healing sick people, promoting natural resource conservation, assisting the homeless, providing potable water, educating children and promoting peace. Each product line's variations and flavors support different causes, allowing us the consumers to choose which causes we wish to support through our purchases. Since its launch in 2008, the company has landed in nearly 4,000 stores nationwide, including Caribou Coffee shops in the Midwest and HMSHost airport locations. In March, approximately 170 West Coast Wal-Mart stores picked up Project 7's (much-improved) Save the Earth Fresh Mint gum and Feed the Hungry Peppermint Vanilla gum and mints. The company's annual revenue has topped $1 million. In 2011, Project 7: Served 131,000 meals to the hungry, provided 2,500 days of shelter, food, health care and school to orphans, covered 1,800 malaria treatments, paid for a year's worth of clean drinking water for 1,900 people, planted 120,000 fruit trees

“There are going to be streaks where you feel like things are caving in around you.  You might feel as if you can’t score a point no matter how many shots you put up, in addition you might start to doubt yourself.  The reality is that everyone goes through those times and they are tough. It’s important to take a step back and get some perspective instead of just pounding ahead and hoping things change.  The buckets will start to fall in place again and you will appreciate them even more this time around.”

Week 2 EOC Boston Consulting Group-Video Games

In the world of video game console manufacturer, three companies have been at war to be number one. Nintendo Wii U (Dog), Sony PlayStation 4 (Star), and Microsoft Xbox One (Star). Each with their own strengths and weaknesses.  Starting with the Wii U. It’s cheaper than Xbox One and PS4. The Gamepad is ingenious and versatile, the console is well-designed, quiet and unobtrusive. But unfortunately it suffers from slow firmware and poor battery life for the Gamepad.

“  The Wii U may not be the most powerful console on the market, but what it lacks in specs it makes up for with a stellar lineup of first-party games and innovative (if underused) hardware. Lack of support from significant third parties like EA and Activision still holds the console back, though, and the gaps in its library left by absent multiplatform games are significant” IGN.com

As of today, the PS4 seems to be winning the war over Xbox One. Both consoles have the same specs with some minor differences. Each with exclusive titles, with the PS4 being a bit cheaper than Xbox One by less than a hundred dollars.

“PlayStation 4's focus on gaming — and only gaming — is undermined by a distinct lack of compelling software. That failing is sure to improve — better games and more of them will appear on the PlayStation 4 — but right now, this is a game console without a game to recommend it. Early adopters of the PS4 this fall are buying potential energy. We're just waiting for a place to spend it.” Polygon.com

“Far better than it once was, and destined to keep improving, Xbox One is a truly modern piece of kit. It suffers for its catch-all approach a little, but you won't see some of its tricks on any competitor's machine.” Techradar.com

Week 1 EOC Great Customer Experience

The best customer service I have ever received was in San Diego, California. I was getting my car checked and oil changed at Jiffy Lube before I drove across the state to Norfolk, Virginia. After I had received my car back and drove home. I prepared for the long drive that awaited me the morning. When I had finished packing everything in my car, I noticed a puddle of oil under my car. So I check and the result was it was coming from my car. Luckily the Jiffy Lube I went to was a mile from my apartment. So I drove back and explained the situation. And it turns out that the mechanic that changed my oil over tighten my nut on the drip pan and cracked it. So they took me to Pepboys to see if they had a new one in stock. And to my surprise they actually had one for my car. They paid for it to get replaced. I had to delay my departure by one day. The best part was that I didn’t have to argue with anyone or go through a long process to get my problem sourced out.

Week 1 EOC My Voice

I am a photographer, I capture and create moments in time that can be cherished, shared, and always remembered. To have the ability to give someone a gift that will remind them of how beautiful life was and continues to be, is one of the reasons why I became a photographer.  To have the skill and passion to see the beauty around me and the stories that everything holds and have the power to share that is and will always be an amazing feeling and force pushing me to pursue the perfect shot. Through my photography you will see a world and people in a way you never thought you could; beautiful, mysterious, seductive, and over all true. It will make your mind think and interpret each image in a way which is unique to you. Some will trigger memories, others emotions, and some thoughts. But that’s the purpose of an image to open your mind and release those things to run wild. That is my art. That is my photography. Through the lens of my camera is the doorway to that world and I invite you to step through and see for yourself. Enjoy my world as much as I do.
